Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

1. Introduction

Funal ("we," "our," or "us") provides an AI-first customer relationship management and practice-management platform for service businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you use Funal at funal.ai, including when you sign in with Google through Clerk.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account information such as your name, email address, profile image, and authentication identifiers
  • Organization and team information
  • Client records, contacts, bookings, and service data you enter into the platform
  • Files and documents you upload
  • Integration credentials and connection data you configure, which are stored using encryption

When you choose Sign in with Google, we receive from Google through our authentication provider, Clerk, the basic account information needed to identify you: your name, email address, profile image (if available), and a unique Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password. We do not access Google contacts, Drive files, Gmail, Calendar, or other Google services through the sign-in flow unless you separately choose and authorize a corresponding Funal integration.

We also automatically collect limited technical information, including:

  • Usage, device, browser, and approximate network information used to operate and secure the service
  • Error and performance data used to diagnose reliability issues

3. How We Use Google User Data

We use Google user data only to provide and secure the Funal features you request. In particular, we use it to authenticate you, create and maintain your Funal account, display your account identity in the product, associate your account with an organization, prevent abuse, and provide account support. We may use aggregated or de-identified service data to improve user-facing Funal functionality.

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, use it to determine credit or insurance eligibility, or use it to train generalized artificial-intelligence models. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as described in this policy, at your direction, to protect the service, or when required by law.

4. How We Use Other Information

  • To provide and maintain the Funal platform
  • To process your requests and transactions
  • To send notifications and reminders you configure (email, SMS)
  • To connect third-party services you expressly authorize, such as Zoom, Google Calendar, Twilio, and PostHog
  • To improve our product and fix issues
  • To detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents, fraud, and abuse

5. Sharing and Service Providers

We share information with service providers that process it on our behalf, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, communications, storage, and error-monitoring providers. These providers may access information only as needed to provide services to Funal and must protect it under their agreements with us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transfer, or with your direction.

6. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections and encryption for sensitive credentials and tokens at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain legitimate business and security records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or securely de-identify it, subject to backups and legally required retention.

8. Your Choices and Data Rights

You may access, correct, export, or request deletion of personal information associated with your account by contacting us at support@funal.ai. You may revoke Funal's Google access through your Google Account security settings; this may prevent Google sign-in or connected features from working. You may also request that we delete your Funal account and associated data, subject to information we must retain by law or for legitimate security purposes.

9. Third-Party Services

Funal uses third-party services, including Clerk for authentication and providers for hosting, analytics, communications, storage, and integrations. Those services may process information under their own privacy policies. When you connect a third-party integration, that provider may process information according to your agreement with it. We request and share only the information needed for the feature you choose to use.

10. Children's Privacy

Funal is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Funal changes. We will post the updated version here and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use Google user data, we will provide an appropriate notice in the product or by email.

12. Contact Us
